Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) is pleased to announce the establishment of an Investor Relations Office effective April 1, 2000. MOL's decision to centralize the investment relations responsibilities was driven by the company's stated business objective of increasing its market value for existing shareholders, as well as enhancing the company's attractiveness to domestic and foreign investors.
The Investment Relations Office is also responsible for developing MOL's investment relations strategies, devising activities and disseminating all pertinent information. By centralizing these responsibilities, MOL has achieved the transparency required to accelerate the disclosure to the investment community of corporate management and performance information strategic to obtaining a fair market evaluation for the company.
The Investment Relations Office is under the leadership of Senior Managing Director, Seiji Nakamura. The office contains eight staff members including General Manager, Ken-ichi Yonetani, who returns from London after serving as Managing Director of Mitsui O.S.K Finance PLC.
