MOL Specialized Containers

Flat Rack Containers are designed for transporting long and heavy cargoes.
MOL flat rack containers have the following high-quality features:

• With its “no-roof, no-sidewall” design, this container can be loaded from any
  direction.
• Each container is equipped with a specially reinforced floor construction to support the concentrated weight of heavy cargoes, and strong lashing rings for cargo security.
• For extremely heavy cargoes, MOL provides flat bed containers with floors of greater strength.
• On board vessels, oversized cargoes that cannot be loaded in a single container, can be stowed on containers formed by placing several flat rack containers side by side.
• Flat rack containers are available in both 20’ and 40’ lengths.

Open Top Containers are designed for cargoes that are to be handled with overhead cranes or high-masted fork-lift trucks.
MOL open top containers feature the following:

• A removal door header is situated at the upper part of the container door. This ensures simple operation for handling of voluminous cargoes as well as heavy ones
• A strong canvas, instead of a roof sheet, covers the container top. Because the canvas has high resistance to the weather, there is no water leakage even in rainy weather. This canvas corresponds to ISO regulations and meets the requirements of classification societies’ inspections.
• Strong lashing rings are provided for securing cargoes.
